Bradley Deafenbaugh. MD
Bradley Deafenbaugh, MD, graduated with Honors from the United States Naval Academy in 2001. He then earned his M.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at the University of California, Davis.
Dr. Deafenbaugh served as the Orthopaedic Residency Program Director at Naval Medical Center San Diego from 2016 to 2022. During this time, he was awarded the Faculty Teacher of the Year, the CAPT J.S. Webster Orthopedic Leadership award, and the NMCSD Master Clinician award. He was selected as the Navy Orthopaedic Specialty Leader in 2023 and currently leads over 200 orthopaedic staff surgeons and residents.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, a fellow of the American Orthopaedic Association, and a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. Dr. Deafenbaugh’s clinical, surgical, and research interests include orthopedic trauma, sports injuries, and degenerative conditions of the upper extremity, lower extremity, hips, and spine.
