Grant Cochran, MD
Grant Cochran, MD graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He then earned his M.D. from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD in 2010. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Internship and Residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Duke University.
Dr. Cochran has served as the department head of orthopedic surgery and chair of the medical executive committee at Naval Health Clinic in Oak Harbor from 2017 until 2022. During that time, he also had a civilian trauma practice at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Bellingham, WA and Skagit Valley Hospital in Mt. Vernon, WA. He is currently the vice chairman of orthopedic surgery and the sports medicine division chief at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA. Dr. Cochran is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a member of the Orthopedic Trauma Association.
Dr. Cochran’s clinical, surgical, and research interests include orthopedic trauma, sports injuries, and degenerative conditions of the upper extremity, lower extremity, hips and spine. Dr. Cochran performs evaluations in Hyattsville, MD.
